Free shipping and no taxes? Tell me more!
In the past, all orders were hand packed and shipped from our secret lab, but that’s really not feasible when sending out hundreds (or even thousands…) of packages at once. We’ll therefore be shipping via a fulfillment service with warehouses located in multiple countries. Because orders will ship from a local source, customers in Canada, the USA and EU will not be charged taxes or import duties on their order. Also, each order will have a tracking number, which is something we weren’t able to provide using Canada Post’s Small Packet service (the only economically viable choice for overseas orders).

How do I pick the Add-Ons I want?
We’ll be utilizing a post-campaign pledge manager, which you’ll receive an invitation to a few weeks after the Kickstarter closes. Once you log in, you’ll be able to choose the Boxes and Boosters you’d like, as well as specify sizes for t-shirts. Members of The Cult of the Black Goat will also be able to enter their Cultist # at this stage.

I want more Add-Ons than my pledge level covers, but don't want to jump to the next level. What can I do?
Remember that there’s nothing stopping you from pledging your own customized amount - the pledge levels are just a base point to start from. For example, if you wanted the Rulebook plus two Boxes ($50 each) you could select an Agent level pledge ($110, with $75 Add-On Credit), but enter $135 as your pledge to cover the difference.

All pledge levels that include a printed Rulebook will also include a complimentary copy of the 2nd Edition PDF Rulebook.

Can I make a pledge using PayPal?
Absolutely! Visit our website at http://www.strange-aeons.ca/ to find a Pledge Button, or send money directly to [email protected]. All PayPal pledges will be counted towards the project total, so you can still help to unlock those Stretch Goals!

Can I change my Pledge Level in the Pledge Manager

I'm having trouble choosing which Boxes and Boosters I want. Can you tell me more about what all the models can do?
We’ve written up some brief summaries of the box contents over on our website to help you out. Check the page here: http://strange-aeons.ca/sa/?page_id=18

How does the Solo Play Deck work?
The Solo version of the game is card driven to direct the actions of the Lurkers. The cards tell you who to activate and their actions that turn (for the Lurkers, you as the player control the Threshold). The idea was to create a semi-intelligent opponent that will surprise you sometimes. This can be through random actions, a random bonus/negative or mission specific actions and bonuses.
The system accounts for the fact that an “artificial intelligence” bad guy will always perform worse than the player will…which is kinda nice as who wants to get worked over by a deck of cards…but you also want a challenge. The extra rules that are being finalized give the bad guys enough of a boost to surprise the player and not allow you to beat the system and win every time.
The Solo game keeps the flavor and feel of playing Strange Aeons, but is different enough to make Lurkers work when controlled by cards and dice. It works well to try out some new Threshold and Lurkers lists but also allows you to play a full campaign without leaving your own dark basement…or wherever you call home.

My Pledge level provides more Add-on credit than I want to use right now!
Any credit you still have outstanding when the Pledge Manager closes will be issued to you as a UMW Webstore gift certificate with no expiry date, so you may use it against future releases.

What are these models made from, and what’s the scale? Our models are all hand-crafted in high-quality solid resin, which behaves a great deal like an extremely hard plastic. Humans stand about 32mm on average.
I want more stuff! Can I upgrade to a higher pledge level? Indeed you can! All the basic pledge levels from the Kickstarter campaign remain open to all backers, and you can upgrade to fixed-reward levels (both Antiquarians and New Recruit) through the BackerKit interface. However, as we need to issue add-on credits manually through BackerKit, we can’t allow backers to upgrade themselves to the Agent, Extraordinary Heroism, Gallantry in Action or Distinguished Service levels on their own - a little intervention is required on our part to make everything work. Please send us a message ([email protected]) if you’d like to upgrade to one of these levels, and we’ll get the details worked out with you. Sorry for the extra step, but limitations of the BackerKit interface don’t give us any other options.
Can I swap out my ‘X’ for a ‘Y’? Sorry, due to complexity of both manufacturing and shipping, contents of Boxes and Boosters are unalterable. Also, items included with pledge levels, such as rulebooks or the Starter Box in the New Recruit pledge, may not be substituted for other items.
Do I have to pay duty or taxes on my shipment? All orders sent to Canadian, US and EU addresses (includes EU member countries and those with EU tax treaties) will be shipped tax/duty free from a local fulfillment agent. This applies to both Kickstarter backers and pre-order customers that place their order prior to the lockdown date.
Does my pledge/order include a PDF Rulebook? If your pledge or pre-order includes a rulebook, you’ll receive a complimentary PDF rulebook no later than the product ship date.
I have more credit than I can spend! What can I do? Any credit left unspent at the conclusion of the pledge manager period can be transferred to an online store credit. That said, please be aware that once we have the initial orders fulfilled, our products will only be gradually rolled out into regular release. Certain Boxes may not resurface for sale for some time, so it’s best to get your hands on everything you want now.
Can I buy just one of the Card Decks? Afraid not. For the time being, we’re offering them as a bundle only. They’ll eventually be released individually, but anticipate a price tag of at least $15 per deck.
I see this is in Canadian funds. How do I pay in my local currency? Your credit card provider will automatically convert the amount of your order into local currency. Check www.xe.com to see what the current exchange rate is, and remember to add about 3% to account for your bank’s surcharge. In some cases, your card may refuse foreign currency transactions. In this event, please contact [email protected] to arrange payment via PayPal.
I don’t have/prefer not to use a Credit Card. Can I pay via PayPal? Yes you can. Once you know what all you’d like to purchase, either contact [email protected] to arrange for a PayPal invoice, or send your payment to [email protected] with a note that you’d like to make a pre-order (or increase your existing contribution). We’ll set you up with a BackerKit account (if you haven’t already created one) and apply the appropriate credit.
Can I change my add-ons after I’ve submitted my order? Yes, Kickstarter backers can switch around their add-ons (or choose to add more) right up to the lockdown date.
What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
